These don't do justice to the trip! They're only a selection of some photographic successes. St. Peter's Rome is left out, for instance. It was certainly a very special element of the trip.
Monte Cassino... where St. Benedict founded his order. Destroyed several times over the centuries, most recently in bitter battle of WW II where Germans held up advance against overwhelmong odds.
