Something from my archive

Beautiful HTML this isn't! But it IS a scrap of family history data which may interest someone!

Sorry about the formatting... I suggest you.....

The material is presented so "badly" here so that I can publish a volume of material in a form that is easily updated.

30 October 2007: FOUND HER!!! ver 04 Nov 2007

Julia Peach Brodribb Tracy, mother of Julia Catherine Tracy, wife of Thomas Lunham Boyd was buried in Abney Park, North London... with the founders of the Salvation Army, both Booths, amoung others....

18 June 1878

Knew from marriage license (thank you TW) that JCT's father dead at time of JCB-TLB marriage (1881, Stamford Hill Congregational Church, north London), but not until now, for sure, that mother was also dead before marriage.

So family lore that TLB "went to an orphanage to get a wife, so he wouldn't have to deal with in-laws", while not proven, is not impossible.

Hmm... JCB's grandfather and three spinster daughters had sundry small boys in their home for several censuses.... were they caring for orphans???

Finding more and more Boyd (&in laws) associations to north London. Ireland and Scotland may not be as significant as I once thought!

Test for valid HTML Page has been tested for compliance with INDUSTRY (not MS-only) standards, using the free, publicly accessible validator at validator.w3.org. It passes in some important ways, but may still need work to fully meet HTML 5 expectations. (If your browser hides your history, you may have to put the page's URL into the validator by hand. Check what page the validator looked at before becoming alarmed by a "not found" or "wrong doctype".)
